A different kind of hybrid production.
Our short film EATING HUMANS is our entry for this the Runway AI Film Festival 2025.
We combined real interviews with AI-generated alien characters to create something that feels strange, funny and disturbingly familiar.
Production was fully hybrid: real voices, animated aliens, and AI-generated visuals across multiple tools. Human Sounddesign and Grading were crucial for the finishing.
In times of ever evolving tools and tech, hybrid production workflows are the way to move forward in order to combine the best of both worlds.

Together with Director Simon Meyer I created this AI ad in only two weeks.
We wanted to explore what’s possible with Lumalabs tool Ray 2 when it comes to product integration, characters, and VFX - presented in a cinematic visual style.
A big challenge in AI commercial production is the authentic product representation. That’s why we shot a large amount of still and video footage with a real Mini Cooper E and trained a LoRA to generate the car with full control. Resulting in this 100% AI-generated film, where the MINI actually looks like a MINI.
Besides this process, there are others to integrate a product into AI photo or video.
No live-action. No 3D. Just AI. Only real human voices.

Together with AI Creative Jakob Schweighardt i created this comparison Spec Ad in order to showcase the current capabilities of Gen AI model Ray 2 (Lumalabs.ai) when it comes to VFX.
Eventhough it is not perfect yet, it's getting pretty close.
I would assume the original ad took more than 4 months to produce.
We did it in 48 hours.
